My friend was over with her kids and 2 day care kids and she had a REALLY old britax.... i was like thats expired and she was like i know but i have no money to replace it, so i gave her my AO that expires next year, told he she had another year to be able to afford something else, and i kept her britax, i will post pics later you all can tell me what it is, and if the cover will fit any current seats so she can sell it if she wants. i also told her to try to find the avenue at kmart, though i had no luck at mine.

ohh i will have to tell her!
i just got to look at the seat its an expressway and it was made 9/01.... so yeah REALLY expired! it has a really cute doggy cover, wonder if it would fit a roundabout? and it looks like it could be a rearfacing seat but it say Forward facing only, what a confusing seat and low weight too! oh and it has latch but no tether, so glad she was willing to give it up!

Yes, the cover will fit a Roundabout (40# version). Cute, cotton cover, no pocket for the tether IIRC, and no cutouts for the RF belt path. The Freeway (earlier version) and Expressway both were essentially a RA without RF lockoffs.

And yes - it was very much a niche seat. Even then. 20-40#, FF only.

I don't remember the Expressway having the weird HUGS. I know the Super Elite did as a recall fix.

And what you're seeing as a weird adjustor might simply be the shape of the original HUGS - they had little fingers at each corner. Or they're dual-strap. HUGS attached to a short strap which also attached to the harness somehow. If it's those, the short straps were connected behind the seat.

I remember it had that attached HUGS system for a bit, because when the Patented Floating HUGS came out and weren't strapped to the seat, they pushed it as a cool advance (or at least used the marketing term Patented Floating HUGS, lol)

The Expressway came in Puppies, Burgundy Check (navy/burg/white), and Summer Breeze (white/tan/navy). It's very possible.

I had one in Burg Check for Ryan. Which is why it surprises me that I've forgotten the HUGS.
