"If you install them, they will come"

This is such a weird phenomenon...! Today, I had three carseats in my minivan: one for Nolan, an extra for friends, and the new Uptown that we're trying out before sending it to my niece. I was keeping a friend's child this morning while Nolan was at school and was supposed to take him home before picking up Nolan. Well, the preschool teacher called and wanted the kids picked up early b/c she was sick. Another friend then called and asked me to pick up her daughter since she couldn't get there early. So - voila! All three seats were filled. :p

This happened the first day I installed our old Triumph as a spare, just in case we needed it and because I got tired of it sitting in our foyer. That same day, I transported two friends in that seat (at two different times, obviously). I then took it out for some reason, then re-installed it. Right away, I needed to pick up a friend and her child while we were out and about. If I had not had the seat installed, I couldn't have done it.

No one ever needs me to transport their child when extra seats are not in there - only if I go put one in. Does this happen to anyone else ?!? Very karmic...

Yes, it happens to me, too! One of the reasons I always kept extra seats installed in my van, and one of the reasons I can't stop thinking about the possibility of a Windstar in my future. :p

Hmm, does that mean if I install an infant seat in my car a baby will suddenly come out of somewhere(certainly not from me right now, unfortunatly) and need a ride?

I found that when I carried extra seats in my vehicle they ended up being loaned out -- those were the times I overheard people about to give kids rides without seats  I ended up giving away too many seats that way  So, I only keep the Compass in there now (there's no way I'm giving that away, LOL) & I haven't overheard any scary conversations since removing spare seats
