What do I do? LOL! I really want to wait for the new coccoro, but my almost 4 month old doesn't like being in her infant seat any more. She does ok most days but on days like today where the stars weren't aligned properly, she screams the entire way. I try to keep her cool, but the fabric just isn't very breathable. I've considered buying one of the cotton covers that chicco approves to see if that helps, but that's an $80 investment that may or may not work.

We have a peculiar car seat set up with my Tribeca, I'd love to just put her in a RN now, but they don't fit RFing in my car. We have a scenera as a back up that I could try to use until the new coccoros come out (when is it, December now? Ugh!) We have a REALLY long trip coming up in November so I've got to get something figured out. The front-to-back issue makes most seats not fit in my car.

At four months, you may be able to reduce the recline slightly. Maybe 42-40 degrees? That may help.

I think the Coccoro release date got pushed back to next year (possibly mid-next year?), so you might be waiting a loooooooooooong time. :(

If it makes you feel any better, my 3 month old DS does not like the KF, SR, Cocorro, or the SS1. He just doesn't like being alone... Not being held.

Have you taken all of the inserts out of the Keyfit? Including headrest? That helped my kids tremendously...

FWIW...we don't have an infant seat at all, but Trevor far prefers his True Fit Premier over his Coccoro. He does well in the Coccoro, but he does great in the True Fit.

When I asked Combi about the ETA for the Coccoro, this is the response I got: "Hi Brandi. Thanks for your interest in our Coccoro. This product is currently in developement. We anticipate the release to be mid year 2011, however, this isn't a confirmed date so feel free to check back with us as the time gets closer. "

I was hoping to get one at the beginning of 2011, but it looks like we're gonna be waiting a lot longer now

Wow that's total crap about the coccoro. It was supposed to be the seat she graduated into due to the seat issues. I guess I'll have to find something else. Maybe the trufit would work. What stores carry them in store?

Yes, I've taken all the padding out. She's hovering around 14 pounds I'm guessing. She's very round and short. I'm going to go see if I can get the recline a little higher, I'm not sure what it's at right now, but it's pretty near 45 I'm guessing.

It's not an issue of her being alone either...95% of the time her big brother is right next to her and talks to her. He's the ONLY one who can get her to take a paci too (thank goodness!) he's my saving grace.

Does she like being swaddled? There is a very light weight swaddle blanket out there that I think most techs have deemed 'ok' to use in a car seat. It's as thin as a t-shirt and you wrap it OVER the harness after the baby is buckled in. Maybe that would help her? I used one with my DFD until about 6mo....she seemed to like it, but it was in the middle of winter. We used it in lieu of blankets/jackets etc. But it wasn't 'hot'.

It could be the age as well. My son went through an "I hate the car seat" phase too. Once we got going he was ok, but we'd pray that we didn't hit to many red lights. And some days, he just wasn't happy about being in the car.

Now he's generally pretty good about car rides though.

If you can try the TF first I wuold. I have a front to back space problem in my XL-7 and the TF w/ the headrest does NOT fit with out someone eating the dash. I have found seats w/bases fit best and am hoping the MA70 has enough of one to work.

Can you try one of your older Britax seats? My son's BLVD installs great in my Tribeca (outboard or center) RFing with adequate room for passenger up front.
