QUESTION about placement...

So, we are going to have 3 kids in car seats soon.

We are getting a bigger vehicle. I'm looking into getting the GMC Acadia. so far I like it.

I will have 2 rear facing and 1 forward facing.

If you look here you can see the layout of the seats.

My question is... is it safe to RF the two in the captain style seats and then have ODD FF in the middle seat of the third row?

Does that even make sense?

Makes sense. Actually, that is the set up I have in the parent's van, of the kids I watch. We put the infant seat off to the side, buckle up the older child in the back and them put the infant seat in.

I would say that's a good idea as long as your using a bucket, if not might be difficult to buckle your ffing child.

If you're getting the 7 passenger that's what I'd do. (we have an 8-pass Outlook, basically the same vehicle with the 2nd row bench). The 3rd row only has a tether for the middle.

We also really liked this car as well but in the end decided against it for car seat reasons. Like one of the previous posters pointed out, it only has one tether anchor in the third row. So you can only have 3 car seats total forward facing and tethered. With the possibility of carrying car pools and other kids from the family at the same time as ours we wouldn't have enough tethers. Not sure if you can add more after purchasing to the third row but something to consider.

We ended up with the Pilot and love it. Plus it was cheaper!
