Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

My dd is turning 4 in a few weeks, and loves dolls and strollers. She has a Chicco stroller that we gave her two xmas' ago. It's pretty beat up, and the buckle doesn't work anymore. I'm telling you, she LOVES playing with her dolls. lol

I want to buy her a bigger, nicer stroller for her bday. I think the Joovy Caboose will be overkill, so I wanted one of the Graco travel systems. I'm sure she would love it. Plus, my kid is a shorty, and I think the Joovy will be too tall for her to push comfortably.

Can you help me find a Graco travel system? Or convince me to buy her the Joovy?!

    TIA

Ummmm. I've had a Graco and now have the Joovy, lol. The Joovy is AWESOME! It is so much sturdier and just plain nicer. Our Graco was a lot harder to push and fell apart. Like the foam handle came off in pieces, the fabric ripped from the screws holding it to the frame, the recline mechanism broke. The Joovy seems like they really just scaled down a real stroller. As far as the Joovy being too tall for her to push, my very petite 2yo can push it. (not particularly well, but still, lol) And, wasn't there a Joovy on swap not too long ago?

Another vote for the Joovy It's darling and SO SO SO sturdy.

I have a friend selling one that is literally like-new for $45 shipped, she may have listed it in Swap, but I'm not sure.

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

Has anyone tried the Mac doll strollers? Those are the others I've seen and wondered about. But I thought the Chicco looked nice seeing it online and it sounds like it didn't hold up that well? Is the Joovy the Caboose? So it would hold two dolls, right?

Just curious since I figure one day soon my girls might ask for one so good to be prepared. They do sound like fun. For those of you who have these, how do you use them? Do you just use them around the house or do you take them out for real walks, like after your kids don't want to go in the stroller anymore, but you still want to go for walks. Are they sturdy enough for that (sidewalk/paved path)? I have to stop looking at this shopping forum. I find out about too many good things to buy.

We gave this one (http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/m...ircles-reviews) to DD for Christmas a year and half ago. She LOVES it. She also has the Joovy doll toddler/booster seat and just lays that in the top for a travel system.

We just use it inside, because my rule is once a toy goes outside, it is permanently an outside toy.

She uses her own old umbrella strollers for her dolls outside.

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

Nessa, the infant seat is compatible with it, and no, not selling mine, lol. Kiddos all still play with it! I got the infant seat here on swap and bought the stroller at Amazon. They had the best deal I could find. Dh wanted the stroller to match the infant seat, or else I would have got the blue stroller, it was $20 cheaper at the time.

Athena, I have a Maclaren doll umbrella stroller and it is tiny. Like perfect size for two year old or even younger child. We got a whole set that had a little bed/playpen, bouncer/rocker, and diaperbag. The set is cute, but the bed comes apart at the drop of a hat and the bouncer is kinda strange. The wheels on the stroller are not swivel, but the whole thing is light enough that dd can lift it. It doesn't have a storage basket underneath, but has a crossed metal support. DD3 likes to sit on it. I make her get off as soon as I notice, but she hasn't broken or bent it yet, so it is pretty sturdy.

ETA: We've never taken the strollers outside, they are inside toys for our family. But....we don't go for walks around here. Too hot, humid, nasty out! Too many mosquitos, also! If we're outside, the kids are too busy digging in the dirt to be bothered with walking a baby. They would love to take the stroller to the mall, but I have too much junk I'm already juggling to let them.

I'm having the matching issue too. We already have a joovy toddler carseat (doll) in pink. I could buy a blue one off swap, but that would bother me. I also want to get her the infant seat. So help me find a good deal on both in pink! (I'm posting from my phone, so searching is pretty difficult.)

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

Why not get the blue infant seat to go with the blue stroller? The toddler car seat doesn't really fit or go with the stroller. Honestly? The pink infant seat with pink stroller is a hecka lotta pink. I really would have preferred the blue set, just because it would have been a bit easier on the eyes!

Of course, your 4yo could be the PINK at all costs kind, in which case I can understand the need to get it, lol.

I'll see what deals I can find...

My DD has the Mac Ryder doll stroller, and we really like it. It has a storage basket and swivel wheels.

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

After reading this thread, I just had to check out that Joovy stroller. I LOVE it!!! I think the blue one is adorable:

And only $48 shipped. I swear I am thinking about buying this for my goddaughter or granddaughter and hanging onto it until they are older!

Nessa, I am shocked. I went through 13 pages of Google, looking for an infant seat in stock. I checked ALL of craigslist. I checked Ebay. I could not find a single one for sale in pink OR blue.

The best deal on the pink stroller is still $60 from Amazon.

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

what about a pram? the maclaren has a pram with sprung suspension (not the basic one they sell at BRU) i've seen it in the designer "Owen" colourway before (so dreamy IMO) the mac prams have adjustable handle heights..

we've had the maclaren quest since dd was 19 months old.. she's 6 now and it still looks great .. but it would be best suited for toddlers (even though it says from 3 years) dd is 3% for height.

also, Silver Cross is the make of Pottery Barn Kids pram... (at least the Navy one was, not sure about their pink polka dots one ) this also has and adjustable handle height.. but they also sell the carriage pram which is LOVELY, but is more suited for an older child.. we're going to get a silver cross carriage pram (hand made exactly like the real carriage prams) eventually for dd.. not sure when lol... but one day tee hee.

    Stay away from Graco!

mama's and papa's (peg perego) in the UK sell doll strollers as well.. not sure if they do in the US, but I've seen some mama's and papa's toys over here..

I'm going to have a look at the joovy you're all going on about lol..

They still have the Toy Junior Techno ($24) and the Twin Techno ($38), plus the Junior Quest Activity Center set (stroller, bouncy seat, pack-n-play, and diaper bag) in red and pink for $38 if anyone else is looking for doll strollers for Christmas or whatever.

Re: Help me find a nice DOLL stroller, please....

Not sure. It looks sturdier. The Quest looks just a little nicer than the super cheap umbrella-style doll strollers I've seen at Target, and those don't last long.

The Techno single is now sold out (but there's a wait list). The double is still in stock, as are the sets.
