Please choose ds's new car seat...

I'm so unhappy about dh's vehicle choice that I'm having no fun at all choosing a new seat for it.

The vehicle is:

2006 Ford F250 extended cab
no lower anchors, does have top tether loops
seat will be on the rear bench, probably center
no headrests on the rear bench

The kid is:

4 years 11 mos
Was using an Apex in dad's previous vehicle, has a GN in mine
occasionally trains in a TB and is doing great

There is no cost limit, I'm frugal by nature so I won't spend the money just to spend it, but since dh bought a truck I didn't want him to buy I told him I'm buying whatever dang car seat I need to! LOL

If I can't come up with a compelling reason to buy something else, I'm going to order another GN.

I did try the F85 in it, don't like how much it overhangs. It makes contact ok, but the overhang takes up valuable leg room.

Any other suggestions?

Does the GN fit with no overhang? If so I'd get that. Or there's the maestro which might work better because it's smaller or try the prosport.

I would get something different just to have something different. Move the GN from your car if that's what you want in the truck, and new seat goes in your car.

What's his height and weight?

Duh, that would help huh?

He's right about at 40lbs. He's not been to the ped in a while but I'm guessing he grew about 2 inches, so 39-40" now. He sprouted a lot of leg in the past couple months.

How deep is the ProSport compared to the GN or F85?
