We found a strange carseat part in our car, but have no idea where it came from. (We have a Roundabout and a TravelVest - these seem to have all their pieces.) Maybe it belongs to one of the kids we carpool with? Anyway, we'd appreciate some ideas.

manufacturer: IMMI (maker of child carseat straps)
part?: F14172
date: SEP 04

There's a photo of the same part here. Unfortunately, the post doesn't describe what the part is for.

Your link isn't loading for me.

But if it's this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Seat...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
then that's a Britax d-ring. It's from your Roundabout, most likely. It's used to create a rear-facing tether point if you wish to rear-facing tether. :)

Here's a video on how it's used:

There are also instructions, with pictures, in your instruction manual. :)

Ah! We've only had to use our Roundabout forward-facing. The part must have fallen out from where ever it's stored. Thanks all for the enlightenment!
