This was on a big measuring stick. Really cool there, but the misuse.

Here's the wording. Sorry for the angle. It was either that or glare that made it unreadable. :(

If you look closely at the sign it says that for children 29-34", you forward face them in a convertible seat. So they are accounted for.

On a related note, I went to Target's online carseat suggestor thing. I typed in DD's statistics, 42lbs, 41". The suggestor told me she did not fall into any category so they could not suggest for me. I thought she was pretty average for a 5 year old. When I bumped her height up to 43" I think it told me she should go in a booster. She does ride in a booster some of the time, but most of the time in a GN.

I just thought that was strange that she did not fall into any category.

Looks like it says ff convertible 34-40 inches. No, there is nothing for 29-34". Strap em to the hood!! Anyway...that's a pretty dumb sign. They sell infant seats that go up to 35 pounds. They sell convertibles that rf to 40 and ff to 65. They sell combinations that go from 22 to 65 pounds. Their own sign doesn't cover what they sell in their store!!

So what do you with children between 29" and 34"?

Didn't you know - those are the kids that are allowed loose throughout the car - they get those defined 5 inches to run about without and restraints. Now, if you see one shorter or taller than that - they have to be in some sort of seat, so that's when you call the police to report them

Glad to see I wasn't the only one annoyed by the pic & sign.

I was so so happy to see the other misuse pics go I nearly did a song & dance. Oh how quickly the happiness went away w/ the new signage.

We all need to contact Target Corp & complain.

Target gets an 'A' for effort for at least trying. This is more than I've seen in even BRU.

I'd rather they have nothing rather than overarching outdated generalities and suggesting children MUST have an infant seat, convertible seat, combination seat, and booster seat.

That size range tends to correspond with when they hit that "I don't want to be strapped down" stage anyway

Anyone else notice in the infant seat section it says to also register for a Stage 2 Safety seat so you're prepared?

Did anyone call Target to discuss it? I did and the CS gal I got was actually really good. She acted genuinely concerned and said she wanted to escalate it immediately so she had me talk to her supervisor who was also really nice and thanked me about five times for calling and said if experts(I identified myself as a tech)didn't call and tell them stuff like this the marketing folks would have no idea anything was amiss. Really?? They don't consult with someone BEFORE putting out poor pictures and outdated signage? Anyway, hopefully if they get enough calls they'll do something about it.

I tried the carseat finder thing on the website and it wanted me to buy an infant seat for my 18 mo old 19lb 31" DD. Even though she's outside their stated 19"-29" for Stage 1 seats.
