LOVE my new True Fit

I can't remember who (it was actually a few people) that convinced me to get the True Fit for DD2, but I LOVE it.

It's the Recline model and I got it for $133. Great deal. It's only 5 months old too! The install was great. I've never loved a seat more than my Marathon, but this has the Marathon beat.

In fact, I'm thinking about selling the Marathon we passed down to DD3 so I can get her a TF. :p

DD2 is very short and has no torso. It's hard to tell from my cell phone pictures, but she's just over the 2nd slot. She has loads of growing room.

I love mine as well. I would not have bought but the ladies here convinced me. I really want to buy a second one for DH's car but I think I am going to have to settle for a Scenera instead.

We have one that I love as well. A word of caution though. I've found that the shiney/nylony material gets VERY VERY hot in the sun and extreme heat we've had in MD. I've started keeping a white towel in the car to cover it while we're in stores. If I put Nicholas in it before it cools down, he cries.

I was a little worried too, but it's actually different than the stock photo and even the photo on the box. I was pleasantly surprised. The sides are a shiny/slick nylon black, the headrest is velour but the middle part is a weird fabric that I can't really describe. :p It looks like it's slick/shiny, but it actually isn't. If that makes any sense at all. :p

But we'll make sure to check it out before letting her crawl in this summer (or what's left of it for us in Wisconsin LOL).

We have the blue aurora. The outside edges and head peice are blue velure, but then the center is that wierd material. It's kinda bumpy, but slick and a silvery color on ours. That's the part that got HOT. We've had record heat this past week---hitting 100, and then even 110 with the heat index. I don't remember the seat being that hot last yr when he was a baby.

Yeah, it's going to be pretty hot here this week too. We'll throw a towel in the van and make sure to feel it before letting her crawl in. Thanks for the tip!

AHHHH!!! This is not what I wanted to hear! I just got back from helping my friend install this exact seat in her Sienna tonight. I asked about this in a different thread and someone else said they've had no problem with it being hot. We are in Phoenix so I can only imagine how hot it's going to get. Guess I will tell her to find a nice, large white towel!

We own two TF as our primary seats- we absolutely  them- they are our favorite seats ever!!!!! Very easy to install and such a tight fit in my car:thumbsup: I love how deep they are and the leg room my 3 1/3 year old has in it. I am trying hard to think of something that I don't like about it..... okay, I wished you could tether it rfing (but I guess that is what the TFP is for...LOL) and it had a harness holder.... but what I do before they crawl in is sticking the chestclip into the slits of the cover where the harness can go up and down- does that make sense what I just wrote:eek: It works great and keeps the harness out of the way while loading:D

I  my TF too - it fits in the center of my car perfectly at 45 degrees without the headrest and the front seats can still go almost all the way back. Now that I've done it a few times I can get a really nice install very quickly.

I haven't had a problem with my cover getting hot, but I do keep a light receiving blanket in the car just in case.

Oh, and learning to push on the splitter plate when tightening made it much easier for me.

I miss my tfs, I  them and wish i would have kept one. If they would just up the rfing limit to 40lbs it would be my almost perfect seat.

:yeahthat: That might be my one hang up on the seat. I'm hoping/expecting DS will slow his weight gain down, but I'll have to cross that bridge when we get there.

I still love it!
