I asked Combi when the next gen. CCO will be available and they said "Hi Brandi. Thanks for your interest in our Coccoro. This product is currently in developement. We anticipate the release to be mid year 2011, however, this isn't a confirmed date so feel free to check back with us as the time gets closer. "

Wow, they are really delaying this release! Is it really going to be so drastically different that the development would take this long?? I thought they already said the shell would be the same (same covers used)...

Makes you wonder if they had problems with the rf'ing tether in testing. Wasn't that the only real big change?

I was thinking more that their manual had so many issues, they may have decided to completely re-write it.

That shouldn't take more than a week or two, tops. (I say that as a former professional writer. Heck, I hereby volunteer to rewrite the manual for them in exchange for a car seat.)

Who knows. It could be that they're shopping for a new plastics supplier or something. Or maybe they're making other changes. Like adding a removable headrest a la the TrueFit so my daughter can RF longer.

You have to remember I don't think Combi has ever released a product on time! They said last year, the CCO would have a 3# limit as would the Shuttle in May 09. The Shuttle made it to birth this year right and the CCO still doesn't have a 3# limit. I'm guessing by August of next year we should have a new CCO.
