Pondering new boosters for the boys.

E. is 9 (will be 10 in Dec), and currently is in an old-style PW, which he loves dearly and doesn't want to give up. He still has room in it(about an inch or so), and it is as tall as it will go. He's tall and lanky--long legs and a narrow build. 56.5" tall, and about 68 lbs.
I. is 6, and is now in a FP Sport booster (DOM 5/06).

My truck is a honda ridgeline, and I feel comfortable with the safety of it. I have a GN that I. was riding in, but he is too tall for harness mode, and can not get it buckled in booster mode. It really doesn't fit well in that car at all. My seatbelt buckles lie flat against the seat and have to be flipped down each time to be used.

I tried E. in a backless, and I'm just not happy with the shoulder portion of the belt on any of the three backless options that I had. It rested too far over toward his shoulder--almost to the point of slipping off. It was better with a turbobooster, but not great. He has narrow shoulders. Regardless, we will have to find something in the next few months, as he is going to outgrow the PW before long. Currently we only have a babiesrus and target, etc. We will be getting a buy buy baby here soon.

My thought was to move E. to a backless, and move I. to his PW until it expired (which is next summer). Seat length is an issue as well. E. doesn't care for any of the backless boosters that I have at the moment, and he does look uncomfortable in all of them. He really prefers the PW.

Would the oobr be a good choice for I.? And an olli for E.? I am not in a rush, as it's about 105 here right now, and we won't be doing this until it's cooler, but I need to be thinking of it. I also think I need to get rid of the GN, but haven't a clue about who will buy the thing. I do wish that I hadn't bought it, as it is not converting to a booster with grace.
