Is it safer to LATCH boosters?

The Clek Oobr is going back as my daughter thinks it is uncomfortable, and the only other rigid latch booster is the Cybex Solutions X-fit. Please share your thoughts!
To LATCH or Not-to-LATCH?????

There may be a slight benefit to her in side impacts, but the biggest benefit is to YOU. The seat isn't a projectile when not in use. Therefore, flexible LATCH, or just buckling in an empty booster, is just fine.

Also, there have been some test results that seems to indicate that LATCHing may put the child at increased risk. There hasn't been an actual study on this factor, it's something that was hinted at in another study.

Personally, until we know more, I would use flexible LATCH loosely, or buckle the seatbelt when the booster is empty.
