Evenflo/Gerry Guardian

I cannot find this in the picture guide. Does anyone know when it was made last? I know someone who is riding in it (outgrown) and I know it is expired, but I am curious as to how expired it is. He is in the 5-point version.

Gerry was bought by Evenflo around 1998 so if it really is a gerry it is long expired. I know this because I had an gerry one click with a cracked shield and when I called about it I was sent an evenflo seat. This was before Daniel was born and he was born in Feb of 1999.

No idea if they were recalled. This family didn't care the least bit when I told them it was very old, so I doubt a recall would mean anything to them. They have a Breverra in harness mode for his twin (also outgrown).

I will have to check and see if it is Evenflo or Gerry. Did Evenflo ever make a Guardian?

I tired to post on this earlier but it didn't work.

My mom bought me a Gerry seat from a thrift shop to put my dolls in when I was little. We still have it for the kids I nanny to play with and the DOM on mine is 5/1996. It's a 3pt though.

Gerry Guardians mfd 1/1/90-5/1/90 were recalled because the buckle released with too little pressure, meaning a child would likely be able to do it themself.

Not a 5-pt version, but a T-shield and a floating shield version are on there.

The pictorial is not infallible. I know of an error in the current version, but don't know who/how to contact the right people to get it corrected. It's an awesome resource, and not one I'd want to be responsible to maintain. I appreciate those who do.
