I am replacing my Metrolite stroller with something nicer. This is for occasional use by one child, who is four months old. So Maclaren Volo(in saffron) or the chicco C6 in tangerine?

TIA!

if the child is only 4 months old now, you don't know yet if he or she will enjoy sleeping in the stroller some time in the future (you didn't mention whether this child likes to sleep in the stroller). if there's a chance the he/she will, the volo can't recline.

I have a Metrolite and while it's a great stroller for reclining, I wanted something more portable and easier to maneuver. I bought the Volo (Saffron also and I LOVE it). My daughter is 14 months, though. Although it doesn't recline, the seat is pretty deep and she has slept comfortably in it. My daughter is very petite, barely 20 pounds and the only complaint I have is that the straps are very long and fall around her shoulders. I tried everywhere to find a way to fix this, even called MacLaren, but they weren't much help. The other day I was paging through People Magazine and saw Angelina Jolie pushing a MacLaren. She had Shiloh in a Mac and had the straps crossed across the front (very easy to do with the d-ring set-up). I tried it and it worked really well!

I don't think you can go wrong with the Volo, it really is a great stroller. I think it is rated for 6 months+, but if your four month sits up well, I would probably be OK with it. You could also spend a little more and get the Triumph (I think), that ones does recline.

Also, I personally love the mesh seat on the Volo. It that bothers you, you can always get the accesory pack, but then you might as well just get the Triumph for just a little more, unless you want the option of using it without the seat cover.

Good luck!

Have you pushed both of them? Is there really a question? Volo, all the way, Volo.
