so Am I missing something? is there something in the manual that would make xSIL think the straps have to be in the very top slot of the MA for FF?! I fixed my nephews strap height when he was down at Christmas and he comes back and they are all the way to the top again?! So now I need to readjust them down again.... and my mom says.. you should have seen how loose they were...:eek::thumbsdown: .... at least my Mom knows how to tighten the straps right.. she can even install the seats correctly....

yes and she blew me off like she did for months when she stuck my niece in a booster at 3.....(after one 8hr drive she decided she needed to be harnessed but she had been in a booster for 5 months already) and when she turned my nephew FF at 12 months.... it seems to be whatever is convenient for her is what she does...

Well, if the straps are all the way up, she'll never have to worry about moving them up later.

It used to be that only the top slots were reinforced for FFing, so when you turned your child at 1 and 20, the harness went into the top slots.

In the "olden days" (maybe up until about 5 years ago), only the top slots of most convertible seats were reinforced for FF use. It's possible that she knew of this rule and is still in that mindset, especially if she has older kids. I don't think that any Britax seats had that rule, though.

It's not dangerous for them to be all the way at the top. If that's where she wants them so she doesn't have to remove and reinstall the seat again, leave it and don't worry.

ETA: I type slow, the other 2 replies weren't there when I started. :p
