How can I protect the cover?

This afternoon my youngest fell and hit the back of his head, he now has a nice gouge and two staples in the back of his head.
I had a towel covering his wound on the way to Urgent Care with a baseball cap over it on the way there but he did get some blood on his MA cover on the way home, I took it off immediately and washed it, it came out just fine but I'm wondering how I can protect it for the next few days while the wound closes up? He's getting the staples out in one week. Thanks!!

Well, he's not going to be dripping blood anymore, so I'd probably just put a blanket behind his head when you go driving. Make sure it's thin enough that it's not uncomfortably pushing his head forward. Drape it over the top of the seat, then tuck around the sides of the seat (the tightness of the install should make it easy to stay in place, as long as the back is flush with the vehicle seat). Place it so that it covers where his head would sit, not covering the harness slot that he's using.

Hope the little guy is ok and heals quickly!
