when I saw a bronze Ford Focus wagon w/2 backless booster seats (yay!)...AND get this...a Graco Nautilus...

Okay, so all's good, except what caught my attention is that the GN is installed rearfacing...)-:

Hubby says, "Well, the seatbelt isn't through it, maybe it's just on the seat to transport it somewhere." Which could be true, except for the fact that the trunk is EMPTY...and the car has lower anchors.

I'm impressed...how the heck did they get the latch strap to reach through that forward facing belt path???

Some people...smart enough to know about boosters and rearfacing...but too ignorant to read the big stickers on the side of the seat that say "forward facing only).

ugh

I had somebody tell me once (referring to the GN) "Well I couldn't get it to install tightly RF, so I had to flip it FF!"

Uh. Yeah, good thing you couldn't get it installed tight enough. Why? Because it's a FF only seat! *FacePalm*

I have a ton of people come into bru and insist that the GN can RF. Takes a lot to convince them otherwise.

i think it is REALLY awful that they market it as a "3 in 1" because while not technically trademarked or whatever, that phrase MEANS something to some parents, and it's horribly confusing marketing.

I was at BRU the other day and heard a lady trying to convince a pair of grandparents to RF their granddaughter in a GN. This lady wasn't a staff member, btw. Just a parent who thought she knew what she was doing.

I pointed out to them that the seat SAYS FF only and the mom was like "no, honey, I'm a mom, I know what's safe for my kids, this seat works just fine rear facing." Um. Alright. Awesome.

Btw, the grandparents left with a Marathon.

Good for you for speaking up, even if she didn't listen. At least you helped the grandparents know not to listen to her and they left with a rear facing seat.

it is really confussing for people they call it a 3 in 1 and then they sell them with the convertible car seats, not booster seats.

insane.. I asked a baby depot employee about it once, I was like why on earth to they market it as a convertible car seat? it is totally a harnessed booster.. he said he had no idea that they make them put it there and he thinks it is a bad idea too.
