Talk to me about swings

I don't know why I'm so undecided about this but I've never really had a swing I liked or used that much and I'm cheap:eek: Dallas had a travel swing when fp first came out with them and he loved it but I hated it, having to bend over and it at batteries like crazy. Peyton had a kolcraft one that was ok but he wasn't a swingy baby so I only had it a couple months. I had a sweet peace for malachi that I thought was nice but he wouldn't have anything to do with it.

I'm pretty sure I want something that plugs in but other then that.... I really don't like the nature touch ones that are all over CL, I think they take up too much room but then I want one with some padding too. I'm looking at the graco swing n bounce and the fp glider swing but everytime I get ready and think I'm going to order one I get cold feet and wonder if it's really worth it moneywise.

A lot of the newer fullsize (cradle) swings come with AC adapters now...to plug into the wall.

We have a fullsize Graco swing (batteries) and a FP take-along swing. DS2 has used the big swing maybe twice - and hated it each time. Total waste. We got some use out of the little swing when he was a newborn because it was so much more laid back/reclined...but after about 6 weeks, we were done with it.

None of my kids have really been into swings much...maybe I'll eventually learn not to throw the money away!:p

I love my FP Rainforest Cradle swing. Great swing, I love that it can go either direction and it plugs in! You can probably snag one on CL cheap. I think I got mine for $30

We had the graco luvin' hugs swing and my children LOVED it. My son was able to swing in it until 15 months lol. (30# limit.) I heard that the newer models have a plug in option but I have not personally researched it.

Ditto on the Graco Lovin' Hug swings. The seat is nice and large so you can fit babies in it for well over a year as the PP mentioned. I have two of them, which is now being loaned to my next door neighbor who is expecting twins at the end of the month. Even though mine don't have the plug in option, the batteries have lasted quite a long time.

My only complaint about them are the ridiculous harness buckle on them. They were a PIA to use, especially on a squirmy baby!
