I have been a parent for 3.5 years and a daycare provider for 3. I have owned like 7 seats in this time and have never felt the need to wash a cover until now.
I just think it's funny I made it this long. Of course, my kid is not a puker (like my sister's kid) nor is he a seat wetter (like ever). I also almost never let anyone eat in the car and I remove the shoes of RFers.
My fault, I didn't insist that an almost 3 year old peed before we got in the car.
But for my first one did it have to be the Radian XT? It was such a bugger to get apart. Or course, I tried to cheat and remove the cover without un-installing. But I couldn't figure it out without the thing in my living room.
Having owned the Truefit it makes me have to ask - does the Radian cover really have to be that ridiculous? Like seriously. Every way you could attach the cover to the seat is being used. Elastic and plastic tabs and snaps and plastic push pins? What a puzzle!
Anyhow, just wanted to share. Anyone else get away without washing covers?
