Padding in Radian 65 vs 80?

Is there any difference in the bottom/back padding in the Radian 65 vs. the Radian 80 (not counting the infant padding...this is for an older kid)?

I like the Granite color better than any of the other Radian options out there and i definitely like the price, but it is important to me to have a seat that is cush and plush if I'm going to be spending so much on one (this is to replace a Boulevard - just to set the standard of plushness).

I have a 65 and an XT and haven't noticed any difference in the padding. They both have memory foam under the bum area.

Is the XT really so much better with the headwings? If I'm really on a budget but need a Radian to fit in my car, would the 65sl be a good choice for either a ff 3 yr old or a rf 9 month old?

the 65 would be a fine choice :) i have never seen a kid outgrow either by weight before height, perhaps if you had a short and verrry heavy child an 80 would be better. the 65sl will still rf to 40 lbs, which is a great limit, the extra 5 lbs is nice but no other seat has that either so it's not like you are making a huge sacrifice on rf limits.

My kid is pretty comfy sleeping in it, it sort of depends on how recline the vehicle seat is, but usually her head just falls sideways, not forward.

My kids are okay sleeping in the 80/65. I'm more comfortable, once they get tall and toward the top, with the XT headwings, if it's going to be outboard. And I DID notice that my 4 year old who had mostly stopped taking long naps in the car when she was in an 80, when I switched her to an XT she started again. So seems to me it might be more comfy for her.
