My girls are balking at the mere idea of Frontiers

Why? Because they have black on them and no flowers. Little girls and their priorities.

I guess they can use the GNs and deal with the head slump if they're rather be cute than comfortable. :p

My only problem is that I don't plan on replacing my truck ummm.... ever and I have to have 2 kids harnessed at all times so as soon as Kaleigh outgrows the harness I'm kinda SOL. Granted she does have a ton of room right now, two full strap settings, but I'm planning ahead. ;)

lol. Maybe when they're older they won't want seats with bright pink and flowers. Maybe a nice lighter pink Frontier will be more acceptable. I happen to LOVE the lavender nautilus. Probably my favorite seat cover ever! Well, tied with the Britax Mariposa cover for the MA.

Worry in a few years. Who knows what kind of options will be around then!

True. I can let them use the Nauti's for now and when they outgrow them I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I'll have to figure out something to help with the horrendous head slump though. :p

Trade them for an Elite version? Maybe with the expandable head portion, you could smush the head portion closed and fix the head slump.

I have no idea if it would really work. Worth a shot? :shrug-shoulders:

Dh said that 2000 was when they came out with the new body style for the suburban so I still have hope the FR85 will fit. Yes, I know it's farfetched... lol

Wonder if the Daisy covers would fit on the GN Elite?

I'm not sure if the regular covers would fit an Elite cover. I'd imagine they would-- the only added lock offs, more padding for the bum, and adjustable headwings. Maybe not though.

You could always put patches of "girly" fabric on the Frontiers. It could possibly effect your attempt at trying to sell it later, but it might help sway them into the seat. Find some fabric with flowers and cut out the flowers, then use something like liquid stitch or even try to sew them on.

Duct tape? I'll bet you could even find it in pink. :D

DS had head slump in both the GN and the RN and I just used one of those cheesy pillows that came with my old Evenflo Triumphs and tucked it kind of beside his head and under his chin. He figured out when he started getting sleepy to tuck the pillow in and then he'd be ok. Good luck!

Did you tell them it has 2 cup holders? I have the 80 and my dd uses the cup holder to put her polly pockets in.

I showed them the 2 cup holders, offered appliques, the works. They want the floooooweeeerss. Brats. ;)

I'm about to order them and make them try em for a while anyway. Along with CA's for Caleb because I wanna try them. :p

Pink duct tape is a great plan. I like it.

I like the pillow idea, but I can't reach them when they're about to fall asleep. Abigail is behind the driver's seat and Kaleigh's in the 3rd row. Most of the long drives where they'd fall asleep have no where to pull over safely and help them either. That would probably wake them up anyway.
