Anyone SEEN an Onside Air?

Has anyone actually had a chance to SEE the onside air? My younger son is in a Scenera and he apparently hates it! Never used to cry in the CA or infant seat but screeches bloody murder in the Scenera... wondering if the onside air might have more padding and be more comfy? Would it fit the same? I have a 3 across deal going on so it needs to fit where the Scenera does... or any other recs for relatively inexpensive seats with more padding that would be the same size or smaller than the SCenera?

It should fit about the same as the Scenera, as it looks like it is made from the same shell. Whether or not it has more padding, we'll see!

I wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere so I could actually look at stuff before I buy it!! Maybe I can convince DH a road trip is in order this weekend... though given his work schedule probably not..

I called Kmart & Sears and they don't have it in stores around here. :( I'm wanting measurements also. I called dorel and the guy didn't know much about it. He also couldn't tell me when it'd be available for purchase. He did mention that it was more like the avenue. Since he didn't seem know much I'm not sure how true that is.

Looks like they'll have six cover options to chose from to start. http://www.safety1st.com/usa/eng/Pr...2658-CC041AGK-onSide-air-Convertible-Car-Seat 4 harness heights and 3 crotch positions. I wonder why they stick to the 40" height limit on their convertibles. I know most chose to ignore that rule, but i wonder why they just pick 40 and stick with it for every seat.

Scenera's only 36 for RF, IIRC...what's the Avenue for RF? That might be the clue what shell this seat is based on.

If it has 4 harness positions than it probably is more like the Avenue (& Uptown). The Scenera only has 3 positions right? And all the pictures of the Onside Air have only shown 3 positions so I think that's what has been causing people to lean toward it being like the Scenera not the Avenue.

ETA - and I just checked my Uptown manual, also lists 36" as the upper limit for RF. Maybe they just got more realistic with the number.

The scenera has 4 harness positions also. I think the shape of the base of the onside looks more like the avenue. Darn it why can't it be in stores already. I want the pink flower one.

I think the pictures speak for themselves. It is definitely a Scenera. Look at the shape of the seat, the height of the base, etc. I'm not sure why I'm the only one who sees it.

I called the 800 number for kmart/sears. They said that the seat will be avaliable in store in 10-11 days at sears. He wasn't sure if it would be in store at kmart or not....

Now I just have to be patient for 10 days haha;)

It looks like a weird mix between them both... LOL

I think if my 1 year old keeps throwing hissy fits in his Scenera I might give it a shot, if it has more padding...

Carseat manufacturers probably enjoy the tease... knowing all use crazies are out here wondering what on earth the new seat is going to be like!

I posted on their fb page asking about measurements and when it will be available in stores. Hopefully I'll get a response. :)

It was the front of the base that made me think avenue. I see the shape of the top of the shell is scenera then the middle is different. I guess I want to be tall like the avenue.
