I am so sick of trying to find a suitable (afordable and fits) solution for my tiny little car and my autistic ds. I was hoping that the apex would work for him in our van so that I could move his radian to the toyota corolla- but he wasn't comfortable in the apex and screamed when I put him in it. The harness was so short and the buckle pinched his legs. Because I needed a seat asap I decided to try him in a fisher price booster in that car. Our local baby store had them on clearance for $40. So far, so good. But, I refuse to drive him in that car sitting in a booster for longer than 5 minutes. He does have to be reminded to stay sitting back and not lean forward if he is in it any longer than that. He can not unbuckle the seat belt because the seats are so close together. My mom is my babysitter and she lives only 5 minutes away. I drop the kids off at moms and dh picks them up with the other vehicle.
When I have the money, I will purchase an ezon harness and tether mount for him as it would be safer and let us take longer rides when I have to use that car. He could also use it in the van when he outgrows his radian.
Here are the pictures I took this afternoon - For some reason the booster seats tilt towards the center of the car. I tried to stop them from doing that, but it didn't work. Do you think that is a problem?
