I was relieved to be able to look at the results and see for myself how well the restraints performed in the various tests. In my (humble) opinion, "passing the minimum requirements" doesn't tell me enough since the minimum requirements in this country are very "minimum". Sunshine Kids tests their seats against extreme factors, with a heavier dummy, and going faster than the minimum requirements. I would like to know what conditions the other manufacturers use, but they don't offer that information.
SSK company's confidence in their seats based upon the fiberglass reinforced plastic and the strength of the frame convinced me to buy a Radian XTSL. After hours of scouring consumer reviews on multiple sites, I realized how many car seats apparently crack or fail in other ways during accidents. To me, it is worth the investment to have confidence in the product, especially if it actually lasts several years. I hope my decision turns out to be a wise one.
I was shocked that more companies don't publish their test results, and more than a little suspicious, I suppose, about the actual results.
Maybe they will follow suit someday?
Thanks for posting it for people to see.
