So a mom on our multiples club forum was asking about second seats for her baby twins and 3.5YO singleton (she has 3 radians for one car) and I mentioned the Maestro as one to check out for the 3.5YO. Another mom asks whether or not it would be a good choice for occasional use (2-3x/month) in the grandparents' car for her 2.5YOs who are around 50th percentile height/weight.
I told her I felt a bit conflicted b/c at that age/height I was pretty sure most techs would rec that they be in rear facing convertibles (and I included Heather's nice RF Links entry from carseatblog) even though I had turned my girls FF when they were just a few months older than her twins (DDs had 2001 RA's with 30 lb. rear facing weight limit), and maybe for just 2-3x/month perhaps move their convertibles back and forth to the grandparents' car for a few more months until her kids are a bit older and heavier. And, of course, I suggested she could post her question here directly to get techs' opinions.
So, WWYD if someone asked you that question?
