WWYD?

Parked beside a lady at Wal-mart who had an evenflo infant carrier installed touching the back of the front seat with the handle at the head position. As I was about to leave she came out to her car. I was really debating on telling her that her seat was installed incorrectly and offer my help, but chickened out. It was a small, older car and she looked like a high school age mom. There's no way that seat would ever work in that car with the size of the seat and the car, but I'm assuming she probably didn't or doesn't have the money for a different seat (considering the car, age, etc..). Should I have offered my advice and given her my card? What have others done in this situation?

I don't look. Or I generally don't say anything unless it's absolutely hideous. Then I tend to leave a note.

Yup, I've left notes before (like a booster in an older car in the center, lap belt only and a EFTA FF with the belt through the RF belt path).
Otherwise, I do nothing.

I've done both. Most recently, I left a note on a Honda Fit that had a grossly expired Century convertible in it.

Oh, and last week there was a drunk lady removed from our local water park. Two cops escorted her and her family out of the park. I happened to be leaving at the same time and ended up being parked next to them. They got into a newer van. The seats were folded down and I didn't see any car seats. They pulled the van seats up and proceeded to load the van with three little kids (oldest looked to be about three). By this time the cops had walked off. I ran up to one and said that he really needed to check the car, that I was a CPST, yada yada. His response was that there were probably seats, but I just didn't see them. I said maybe (I knew there weren't any, but I wasn't going to argue), but could he come check. He and the other cop did. I don't know the outcome as I didn't stay.

The lady was drunk and they let her leave in her own vehicle while drunk? Or am I just confused? I'm glad they did actually check to see if there were seats, but am curious if it amounted to anything. That's truly a scary story though!

Sorry. No, she left with her family (kids, grandkids, etc.) One of the women (I assume a daughter) was driving. Drunk lady was in the passenger seat. The cops pulled a 2L glass bottle of vodka from her purse at the pool. Yikes! She aroused suspicion because she and a grandson went into the pool fully clothed, including shoes (like street clothes, not swimwear).
