Apex 65 or Maestro?

I am asking for a friend. Her son is 3 and 35ish pounds. A little above average height. Sorry I don't have exacts. I asked but she hasn't told me yet. RF is not going to happen. I am just working on getting him out of a HBB. Her budget is 50-100. Which seat would you suggest...

I found the Apex65 on Amazon for $90. It harnesses longer than the Maestro but I was wondering if it makes a good booster?

The Maestro will harness longer than the Apex, because its top slots are a solid inch higher. The Maestro makes a better booster than the Apex, and when its outgrown, she all ready owns the Pronto.

I agree that the Maestro is the much better option here. The Maestro has 18 inch top slots whereas the Apex has around 16.5-17 inch top slots so it will last longer as far as torso length goes. My 34 month old is close in size (37lbs and 39 inches tall) and I would definitely go with the Maestro in a heart beat. We actually have this seat (used in MIL vehicle) and it is really nice for the price and my long torsoed son has a lot of growing room left in it

Thanks everyone. I was thinking about the harness slots this morning and wondering which was higher.

Maestro it is!
