I was looking through my friend's FB photos last night and came across one of her just turned 3 year old in a HBB.
So I sent her this note:
"Hey girl. I was just looking through your pics and noticed Henry riding in a booster seat with the adult seat belt. Did you know at his age and maturity he should really still be in a 5 point harness seat? The majority of children are nit ready for a booster until 5-6 years of age. This is mostly because they are not mature enough to sit properly in the seat one hundred percent of the time. Please do not take offense to me " butting in." I have done ALLOT of research on car seat safety lately and have learned so much...like it is recommended to keep children rear facing to a minimum of age 2 but preferably as long as possible! How does the saying go?...kids should come with manuals!"
She replied:
"Not offended at all. In my car he's in a harness seat. I was thinking the same thing for Dave's car. My mom is the one who insists it's fine. Then there's Dave "We never had car seats growing up!" Whatever- you just confirmed my inner worry! He does sit like a good boy, but I think I'll be shopping for a new seat this weekend!"
So I couldn't help myself:
"What is your budget for a seat? I can suggest one for you."
I am so excited! Yey!
