UGH!

Ds peed in his Radian today, so I pulled the cover off and tossed it in the washer. I ALWAYS use the "handwash" cycle for covers, but today I had 3 munchkins distracting me and I forgot to change the cycle. When I went to pull it out, I discovered that the agitator had worked its way up through the velcro side slits (the ones that provide easier access to the belt path) and there were several patches where the suede had completely been worn off. UGH! I was so mad! I JUST bought the cover as a replacement for the mesh cover it came with and now it looks terrible! I'm grateful that it's still functional (dh would have had a fit if I'd totally ruined it), and I don't plan to sell the seat, but it still irritates the heck out of me! I guess I should count myself lucky that going against the "handwash only" instructions and using the washer has worked for all these years with only one small incident like this.

How frustrating. I am glad to hear that the cover is still functional though, even if it doesn't look pretty.

I have had many instances where I meant to wash something on delicate or hand wash, yet forgot when I loaded up the washer. Luckily, only a few items were destroyed through my forgetfulness.
