best arrangement

for my van... help me out here, I'm about to lose my mind with the fighting in my car. Right now I have a 38ish pound almost 5yr old in an Apex riding in the back passenger 3rd row and next to her a 38ish pound 3yr old in a Nautilus. In the captains seats I have a almost 55lbs (give or take) almost 7ry old riding in the passenger side in a turbobooster and in the chair next to her is my 18 month old rear-facing in her EFTA. We are going on a 5 hour car ride and my kids all fight with each other after being in the car for a bit. I'd really like to keep the 18 month old where she is, b/c its easier for me to get her in and out of the car. I'd also like to make some space in that back row seat in case I need to sit back there at some point during our trip. I also have an Evenflo Titan, a big kid booster and a scerena available (well, its on loan to a friend who uses it for her day care kid, but I could get it back). Thoughts? I've thought about booster-training my almost 5yr old, but I just don't think she's ready yet, well, maybe thats just me not wanting to let go. :)

To keep fighting down, I would separate the two in the back row to opposite sides. Can you sit in the middle, or is it just a lap belt?

right now I can't fit in the middle between the Apex and the Nauti. There just isn't enough room. (Like 5 inches, LOL, I'm not even sure my 3yr old could fit her butt in that space:)) Thats kinda why I was looking for a different arrangement. It has a shoulder belt.

Ok, so which child is the biggest issue? Put her in the seat by the 18 m old?

I'm not sure which seat is wider, the Apex or the Nauti, but I would put the widest seat in the second row and put the booster outboard in the back. That might give you room to sit in the third row middle?

The Apex is just slightly wider than the Nauti. I really think I'm going to yank the Apex out, put my 3yr old in the Nauti in the back next to my 6yr old, and put my 4yr old (well she'll be 5 days shy of 5 when we go) in one of the spare seats in the captains chair next to my 18 month old. Height wise, either one of my middle two would fit in any of our spare seats, they are both under the top straps of the seats and around 2lbs under the weight limit on the seats.
