Harness Discoloration

My daughter threw up on her carseat so I took it out and cleaned it. I wiped it down with babyganics soap and water and got it all up. I then noticed that an area that didn't get thrown up on was slightly discolored. This must have been from spit up that I didn't see. It was on the back side where the chest clip is. It is very slightly yellow. I couldn't get it cleaned. Do I need a new harness?

If you washed the harness with soap and water, then yes... I'd get a new harness. They're not meant to be more than wiped down with a damp cloth.

I thought that you could use a mild soap to wipe down the harness. I wasn't even concerned about that only about the discoloration from before.

It could be discoloration from the wetness seeping up--some fabrics will leave a mark when they get wet, KWIM? As far as using a mild soap, it depends on the manufacturer. Some allow only a wipe down with water, others are more liberal and allow a mild soap. Check the back of the owner's manual in the cleaning and care section for how to take care of the harness.
