Installing a GN w/ Seatbelt?

I drive a 2010 Jeep Liberty and am needing to install my son's GN with the seatbelt in the middle position. Do I really just put the seatbelt through the FF belt path and pull it super tight? Do I need to use that clip? It seems to easy but possibly I am making this more complicated than it is... I have never installed a seat with anything but LATCH before.

No, you don't need a locking clip. Put it through the belt path, pull it tight, and lock the belt by pulling it all the way out and letting it retract back. And tether it. That's it.

Yes, the manual that comes with the car seat will tell you how to do a seatbelt install. Make sure you read that, but it'll tell you basically what Wendy said.
