I played with car seats tonight...

Cj will not go back rear facing. There is no room for his legs, and with them all bent up the hip belt cuts into the tops of his thighs.

I still couldn't install the Scenera rfing with either latch or the seat belt in any position.

So really I just messed around outside for about an hour in the heat and all I accomplished was moving the Marathon outboard and the Scenera to the middle instead of vice versa. :p

I also noticed that while Gabriel is in the backless booster, the tops of his ears are above the headrest at it's highest position. Guess he's getting his wish of ditching the booster.

Have you tried to get help from a tech?

I have gone to a tech before, but not recently. The one I saw was a joke. Said my 4 year old could be in a booster even though she fit fine in her harnessed seat and that as soon as the boys hit 8, they didn't need the boosters any more. I was not impressed.

And it took forever to fill out the forms for 6 kids, uninstall and reinstall carseats, when they were in good to begin with. It was a constant fight to keep my kids safe and at least semi-happy while out of the car for the hour plus the guy was doing his thing.

I know my seats are in correctly and used correctly and that was just not worth the aggravation to me.

a lot of the techs around me area joke too, There is Colleen and this guy John Crowe with AAA but otherwise they are all jokes, I was at a safety event when Fiona was 3 and it was all "oh we have to turn her forward facing, and btw, in a month when Julianna turns 7 you can go ahead and take her right on out of that booster (the child had gotten a booster a few months earlier from a harness lol) It turned into a fight between me and them, and when I was able to proove that Fiona was well with in the limits to use her radian rear facing, and was 5 times safer that way they let me just leave.. rediculous.

Try to find a tech that also hangs out around car seat.org to help you.
