I don't know, reading this

"Simply set on Car Passenger/Back Seat and safety belt will fit correctly"

And

" Designed for Safety and Comfort"

Make it seem like they are claiming it to be safe. I don't even see the point of it though?

I just sent them an email asking if the seat meets federal standards for child passenger restraints.

"Laws are being passed nationwide to REQUIRE a child's safety belt to be in the proper position"

Very nice and genuinely curious.

I was kind of thinking it might be good for short adults. Maybe even for me in that stupid Mustang. The seat belt doesn't fit me in that car.

My mother in law, and then our older dear friend, used a pad very much like that to position themselves better in the car

I think I have a big city phone book that would provide the same amount of *protection*

I know someone who uses something that looks exactly like that. But he's not a child, he's a little person.
I'd hope adults (of any height) have enough in the way of hipbones to prevent submarining on these common pillows, but wouldn't it be interesting if they had to be crash tested? I hope the slip-out-from-under-you-in-a-crash factor doesn't cause a higher risk/rate of internal injuries, even for adults.

Looks like the entire website was pulled.

Do you think the restraints that were purchased are still in use? Or did that get taken care of as well?

ETA:
I got my tabs mixed up again, was supposed to be replying to the Grandma Know's thread.
*Sigh*

Anyone else notice this?

Apparently, for extra security, you should also use a locking clip with this booster, and place it at random on the shoulder belt* :)rolleyes:):
