Looks like a Graco base, but the handle looks more like a Baby Trend.

Is this a Graco or a Baby Trend... or both?

I believe that's an older Flex Loc, but it is certainly not a Graco! 
ETA that I enlarged the picture and rotated it to see the base better. The seat is definitely a Baby Trend seat, but I honestly can't tell about the base. It does look remarkably Graco-ish, but I'm not sure.

Yes, same seat.
I emailed her about it, she said: "no sorry i don't know the date but you are right it is a baby trend. i had another one that was a graco and i guess i sold the wrong base."
I asked if this was the graco base, but i haven't gotten a response yet.
she has edited her post to indicate a baby trend carseat.

That is absolutely not the right base for that seat. This is the seat that we used with DS1 and handed down to DS2 the base for the Babytrend isnt squared like that on the bottom...its rounded upwards and has a dip in the front like in this picture...

she responded: "Yes its a Graco base. There were two of them and I guess the Graco seat went with the Baby Trend base. I don't see an expiration date. But it was manufactured June 2003"
ugh.
how can ppl think that's okay to switch the seats? i feel bad for the poor girl who got the graco seat w/ baby trend base - i rreally hope they don't try to use it that way.
