Just got two Radians today, one for a baby...wondering where those ties are supposed to go that are on the body support pad (not the head support)?? Anyone? :D

Dunno.

I use them to tie the body support through the little holes at top (where the tether anchors goes) to make a head pillow for DD2.

yeah, I never really figured them out either, when I used it as a head support pillow once DS got bigger, I pushed them thru a set of unused harness slots and tied them so the pillow would stay in place.

This is what I do with the straps on my body pillow.

And I've heard about using the body pillow as a head support and using those straps to hang it upside down, but I'm not sure it is allowed with the XT. Anybody know?

Yes, that is what they are for as well as holding it in place when used as an infant insert.

The CCO has ties on the infant support for the same reason, except the put it in print somewhere. :scratcheshead:

No, not supposed to be used w/ the xt/xtsl. That is what the headwings are for. ;)

I use the body pillow as a head pillow for my DS.

When he was smaller, I would just place the pillow above the harness straps, then run the ties up and over the top of the carseat. I could tuck the straps under the lip of the cover. The friction kept the pillow from slipping. That's how the manual said to use it.

Now that he is taller - and the pillow is now placed higher, I can actually tie the straps together through the canvas loops in the back.

I just had a client visit for two Radian XTSL. I thought I had everything covered and was about to send them on their way when the issue of the straps on the body pillow arose. I had no idea and the instructions didn't even mention them, but I knew there would be a thread about it here!
