I was at the doctor the other day and looked at some baby magazine with dd. It had a page about some carseats. It showed a new Truefit that went to 40#. Looked similar to the current. The photo had the headrest removed. Has anyone heard or seen this? Not sure what magazine, sorry.

There's been a misprint that's run around here and there. I'm assuming you're talking about a 40 pound rear facing weight limit, not a 40 pound overall, right? I can't remember where else it's been seen. But Learning Curve has said they're not increasing the weight limits any time soon. At least, that's what they said the last time this happened.

I wish. I wish they'd also make it retroactive. But I don't think it's slated to happen at all.

I had read the same thing in a magazine somewhere. They also have the information on their website misprinted because it says the seat can harness up to 65lbs in both the RF and FF installation.

I wish it were true. That would be an awesome 40lb rfing seat and I could still be using mine :(
