Which rear facing child seats fit the Volvo s80??

    Hi,

I am looking for a rear facing car seat for my newborn baby. I am having difficulty in finding a child car seat that will fit my Volvo s80 2002 as it seems the rear seat belts are shorter than in most cars. I don't have isofix mount points in the car so a belt fitted seat is my only option as I don't want to have to add isofix mount points.

Can anyone recommend a seat for a newborn that will fit my car??

    Thanks

Re: Which rear facing child seats fit the Volvo s80??

Looks like you are in Europe....? Britax Rock-a-tot is an infant seat which requires less seat belt than others. This is often used by parents with cars that have short belts. Problem is that this seat is not sold any longer....

Using a belted base is a good way to go. This is available for many infant seats. Maxi Cosi Cabrio is for example the most popular infant seat in Europe, this seat can be used with Easybase which is convenient and suitable for shorter belts.

Another option is to get a DuoLogic rear facing seat. This seat can be installed both with Isofix and seat belt. Using the seat belt is no problem even with shorter seat belts. DuoLogic consist of an Isofix base and an infant seat which slides down into the base. DuoLogic is a compact seat and can be used 0-18 kg or about 0-4 years.

The infant seat can also be used without the base 0-10 kg and then secured only with seat belt.
