We are having GREAT spring weather this week, temperatures in the low 60's (farenheit), sunny skies, some wind but that's normal for the coast year-round.
Hayley has been asking to do homeschool (I haven't done anything really book or workbook oriented since I pulled her out of school, thinking a "deschooling" period would be good), so we decided to do it outside in the great weather.
We took a tablecloth, my laptop, her workbooks, coloring book and crayons outside to the patio table and set up. It was really fun. We covered patterns, addition, reading, writing and art. We talked a little bit about mammals and some common ones we see in our area. We did all of this in the beautiful sunshine and fresh air, in about an hour!
Later we're taking a walk to the local park/boat dock and I think I'll try to incorporate some science-y stuff into that.
I took a few pictures of Hayley sitting at the patio table, hard at work, I'll post those when I get them uploaded.
