What stroller do I want??

I need a double stroller that folds fairly compact, and is not too heavy. I have a BOB Revolution Dualie that I LOVE, but it is too heavy and bulky to take with me all the time.

We travel out of state a few times a year to visit my parents for 2 weeks at a time, so I need something to take in the car that is smaller than the BOB. While there, we go to the zoo, amusement parks, etc, so it has to be somewhat durable. I would also use it for occasional trips to the mall, and other shopping trips.

I would like to spend under $300, but would be willing to go higher if I find something really great. I looked at the Phil and Ted's, but the price tag is a little scary.

I know you guys love the BJCM, but I feel like it is too similar to the BOB to justify the cost. Is it different enough to make it worth it?

Thoughts???

ETA: I have the Sit N Stand Plus and HATE it!!

Joovy caboose ultralight?

We've got both that and the Bob revolution, and I think they complement each other well. We use Joovy whenever we need something compact & lightweight (this one stays in DW's CR-V), and the BOB for walks from home across our horrible rock road where the suspension is really needed.

The layout is similar to the sit and stand. I don't know how their construction compares, but I've been impressed with the ultralight - ball bearings, aluminum frame, etc. What do you hate about the sit & stand?

I hate the Sit n Stand because there is zero legroom for the child sitting in the back seat. DS2 still needs a seat to sit in on longer trips, so the Joovy is out.

Well, I use my P&Ts like that. I wouldn't say, however, that it's light. I have an older one, though, and I think that some of the newer models are lighter. Have you thought about watching for a used one on Craigslist (if you have an active city nearby) or ebay? I love mine- and it fits in the tiny back of my Mazda5 (with all seats up) if I pop the back wheels off which only takes a second.

You could also look at a sbs Maclaren (lots used last time I looked) or Inglesia strollers. They don't have the off-road wheels, but they are small and much lighter and easier to pack.

No leg room in the back? I've never used an actual Sit N Stand brand but I own a Joovy Caboose Ultralight and love it. DS still rides for longer stretches and has never complained. DD either, even though the front seat seems shallow to me. They love it.

Yeah. The sit n stand plus has the option of one or two seats. So, it is either a tandem double or a sit n stand. When I have the two seats on, the back one has zero leg room, and the front one seems very flimsy. When I take the back seat off, DS hates sitting on the jump seat because his legs just dangle, and his feet can't reach the platform. I really need the two seats so I have the option of both kids napping.

My local Craigslist is the land of Graco and Evenflo.:(I'm going to keep checking ebay, and also Craigslist where my parents live. I'm beginning to think that the P&T is the best option.

Chicco Cortina! I'm going to have a 13 month old and a newborn, and I got it because I can use the Keyfit with it. I haven't used it with both kids yet, but I tried it out with DD and I love it so far! Downside... It is $300.
