What I'm wondering is what the height is of the shell of the seat. So, measuring the back, what is the height of the shell from where it would sit on the seat to the top of the plastic (not the adjustable headrest part, but the shell beneath it). Trying to figure if it'll work in a situation with a headrest that won't move. Thanks!

Can someone with a maestro take a measurement for me?

The Maestro doesn't have an adjustable headrest. Here is your measurement....bottom of seat back(touching vehicle seat) to top of back(plastic part) is 26.5-27 inches.
