They are actually about the same width, at about the same places.

The Scenera is a little bit narrower at the back of the base, because it sits up on a base (that is why they take up the same space but the Avenue has a taller shell.)

The scenera is narrower. It goes to about 17.5 inches wide in one little spot at the shoulder area. The avenue is 18 inches wide at the base part. I could fit the scenera in the 3 across in the third row of my scenera, but there was no way I could get the avenue to fit in its place either rear or forward facing.

The Scenera actually is the same width as the Avenue (covers compressed), I just measured. It's the base that is different. :)

Thanks. Man, I was really hoping the Avenue would be narrower so I could have another reason to sell the Scenera and get it.

rf radian in toyota

i see you have a radian rf in your toyota. i just purchased one and it reclines waaaay too much (like 55-60 degrees) to rf in my 4runner or corolla w/out pulling the front seat up as far as possible which obviously won't work. seems to only have one recline position rf because of the base that has to be on it. any suggestions? i'm going to lose $80 shipping both ways to return it.
