Any cotton KF covers?

This is getting horrible. Joey sweats SO bad in his KF (the green pattern, adventure maybe?). We have the air blowing directly on him, but within 2 minute he's drenched. We get him out and his whole back side is dripping and his front is dry. He gets so mad and screams and makes the sweating worse. He now screams EVERY time he's in the car.

This is my first and only carseat with that type of cover (the slippery wipeable kind). My girls were in snugrides and safeseats with the regular old cottony covers or their plush Britax/Recaro/Radian seats. Never anything like this

I can't give up the bucket. It's the only way it works with our situation is to keep him in it just for logistics sake. So going to a convertible really isn't an option right now. I don't have enough arms, and yeah, baby wearing isn't working out for us.

Do they make any KF covers like the safeseat/snugride Cotton covers?

I think that might help. None of my other kids despite being around in summers, ever sweated in their seats

Do you still have all the infant pads in? My dd sweated a lot less and quit screaming in the seat once I took out both the head and the body pads out. I had the adventure cover as well.

He never used the infant one, and the head one came out after like 3 weeks. So tried that. :(

I don't believe that cotton wears as well as nylon or polyester. Cotton canvas can be pretty durable but has its problems.

Synthetics universally dry faster than cotton, although how cool the fabric feels can be an issue. There's no reason why synthetic materials can't feel cool (like CoolMax polyester). Another issue is that the KeyFit covers are extremely well padded with a layer of synthetic filler material. That's essentially like sitting on a sleeping bag.

Maybe the Bokoo covers like others have suggested. I'm still not sure what they're made of, and without seeing a care label I probably won't know. Unfortunately, their marketing material makes no mention of whether or not they're synthetic or natural fibers. They have an "organic" line, but don't say exactly what it is either.

Are they for over the original cover? Or do they replace the cover? They are super ugly I think but may be our only option. But eek! $65??
I believe they replace the original cover. They are made of a fabrics that are "Greenguard certified" which is supposed to meet some standard for chemical emissions. Their fabrics are certified in the Greenguard baby category apparently http://www.bokoocovers.com/advantages and I assume this is why they are pricier.

I give them kudos for making a safer product (I am making the assumption right now that the certification shows levels lower than a typical cover would have), but ya, they sure won't win any design awards!
