Two RF seats in 7 passenger Sienna? was: two RF seats in 7 passenger Sienna?

hello everyone,
i am in a similar situation as i am having twins soon.

my van is a 2000 sienna LE (7-passenger). the carseat i purchased (2) is the graco snugride. after reading the FAQ and Basics, i see that it is recommended to place one of the RF in the 2nd row. but if i put the other RF in the other 2nd row seat, both side doors would be blocked.

i will have to check again, but i do not remember seeing latches to move one of the seats to the middle.

if i am unable to move the seat over, do you recommend putting the other carseat in the front passenger or perhaps the rear? i was also thinking of loading both in the 2nd row and removing one of the rear seats - making it a 5-passenger van. in this case, an adult would need to climb in through the trunk, but at least one of the rear seats would be removed, making it easier for him/her to sit down.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

So, you only have the twins? Right? If you have extras that need to get in the back, just have them get in before you put the infant seat in. They should be able to get around the base. We have done that often when we had a baby. I could get to the 3rd easily without the infant seat being in.

Your car manual will let you know if you can move the seat. But with the snap in snugrides, anyone can get in and then you can put the twins in.

pippi/dahlia,
thanks for your replies. i see what you are saying. will take that into consideration.

i'm reading up right now on the installation of the seats. does anyone have a reference link specifically for setting up the base in a sienna? i was thinking of doing a search on youtube.
