Almost 6 wants to RF!!!

My DS1 will be 6 in July. We were chatting about DS2 RF when younger babies are already FF. I basically told him RF was safer. Anyways he got this stunned look on his face and said "don't you care if I'm safe" I told him that since his bones were older and harder I felt it was just as safe to be in his harnessed seat FF. (He knows all about boosters and seatbelts, as he is booster training occasionally) Even so he asked if he could RF again, so I weighed him in at 42lbs and we have the XTSL. I agreed. I tried it in one car and it works fine (since I now have 3 across...) I haven't tried it in the other vehicles yet. Anyways just thought I'd share that he absolutely loves it and says it is the best seat ever! So anyone dares tell me that their 1yr legs are too smooshed for RF they can stuff it!!

My nephew turned 5 in March and he has asked me to sit backwards in my car. Next time I drive him anywhere I'm going to try to make it work... I have a Radian XTSL and a MyRide, so I should be able to fit him in one of those.

Just another example that the "legs are too smooshed, they are uncomfortable" is all in the parents head and has nothing to do with the kids!

My 5 year old wants to. She weighs 46lbs though so obviously a no go. BUT... I personally would LOVE to rear face her. She has a very loud voice and it would be nice if it would bounce off the back before it reached my ear LOL :p

LOL! I have the opposite problem. My kids are RF and talk to me constantly in soft (or normal) voices. It drives me crazy because I keep having to remind them to talk louder! Then they'll want the radio on and the windows open, and insist on asking asking asking questions, and I have to keep on saying "what?"!:p
