Title says it all.

Graco SR32/35 or Chicco Keyfit?

Weight is estimated to be above 5lbs already (gd) and he's still cooking at 31w, but mom and dad are both short. Would like to be able to use it as long as possible. Main vehicle is 2005 Uplander other is 200 Saturn

Mom has a leaking bag of waters as of yesterday, but they are holding off delivery as much as possible.

Out of those two, they Keyfit. It has lower slots and a better newborn insert. (And even if the baby is supposed to be 5# at birth, US can be off by up to 1# and many hospitals don't wait for the baby to be 5# to discharge if they are stable ready to go home otherwise.)

If you're willing to check out different seats, look at the Safety 1st OnBoard or OnBoard Air (the 4# versions, not the 5#).

I suggested the OnBoards, but the mom wasn't interested. I thought one of those would be great b/c the harness height/low weight/tall shell made it the perfect seat. Alas, no go.

Huh... strange. Maybe a anti-dorel bias? Too bad, the OB Air is a really nice seat, esp. for preemies!

Well, between those two, the KeyFit for SURE! :twocents:

Which is funny. I am personally not a Dorel fan, but I tried hard to push it. I mean, real hard! I liked the seats. The Air looked comfy!

if mom is only 31 weeks that baby is going to be in nicu for at least a few weeks. I would have mom pick out the 2 patterns she likes out of each seat and then wait until after the baby is born and before the baby is discharged go buy the seat. That way she knows how big or small the baby is
