Internet Providers

So, I am getting my own laptop and I need to get Internet. What are some good, somewhat low cost options? I cannot get DSL or Wireless because I live in the boonies. So, dial up it is. My mom uses MSN and we have used Earthlink. What does everyone recommend?

What about through a cable provider like Road Runner?

can you get cable? my dad lives in the boonies and has cable internet. I think if you have a cable line you can get cable internet.

I'll have to check into cable. Last time I checked I could not get anything but dial-up. The one phone company we have out here says we are too far out for anything high speed. Then again, they sent me all the hardware I would need for high speed and then told me I could not get it.

We really liked Earthlink, and would have stayed with them when we moved if we could have kept our DSL coverage.
