Sights seen around town...

Yesterday I pulled up to next a car in the walmart parking lot. It was one color, the fender another, hood another, and bumper yet another. Sorta joking about it with my roommate. (She's had a mountain and a ditch jump at her recently and dispite having a like model car in her dad's junkyard she won't pull the pieces because they're a different color than her car). Well I get up out of my car and my mood changes quick. What did I see? An infant seat base installed backwards(to make it forward facing) right behind the driver's seat.

Why are people so careless? They obviously know they're not immune to accidents?

btw, it whas white with rounded out "wings" over the belt path.. I don't remember the "foot" (if it had one) so I guess it's either an embrace or snugride base, but I'm not completely sure which.

Yeah, today was a bad day for my car seat viewing. I was even in the "nice" part of town where usually I don't see too many horrors.

What topped it off? The new Mercades next to me had an infant seat (Safeseat or Snugride) sitting FFing with no base in the back seat, and it was pretty obvious it was being used that way the way it was settled in there. I almost left a card, but mall security was driving by. Probably good I didn't see the parents- I might have slapped them!

yes people are clue-less. I'm from washington and we have a VERY HIGH ammount of mexican's here, well they seem to think thats the way to put a child forward facing. I REALLY don't understand people. but then there was ANOTHER mexican family, and they LEFT THEIR CHILD IN THE CAR WHILE THEY GROCERY SHOPPED!! all because they didnt want to wake the child from it's nap. WHAT are people thinking? need-less to say, the family who left the child in the car didnt get to leave cause we waited for the cops to show up. and we took pictures too. with no parents around. they were mad at us but O WELL!!! get smart!
