Ford Focus help, please! ACK!It's an Escape, not Focus.

I was wrong-- they have a Ford Esacpe, not a Focus.

I am having to unexpectedly travel across the country w/ my twins and will be using a 2009 Ford ESCAPE when I get to my destination. The people I am staying with have a toddler who is riding rear facing in a MyRide. We will need to fit 3 across, all RFing. My twins are riding in Keyfit 30s and I would like to take those seats on the trip, but if needed I can use our radians for my twins. Renting a car another isn't really an option-- it would cost almost $2000.

So I guess here are the options:
1) try to puzzle a myride and 2 keyfits
2) try to puzzle a myride and 2 radians
3) try to puzzle 3 radians (not my first choice, as I only have 2 radians and don't want to buy another)
4) try to puzzle a myride, a keyfit and a radian

I have no idea how big the back seat of the ESCAPE is, and the car owner cannot go and measure it for me (she's gone right now). I also have no clue how wide a myRide is... I'm so out of the loop!! So any help is appreciated. If anyone knows the measurements or could measure for me, I'd be forever indebted!

I also need to know asap, as we are leaving in 5days and I'll need to get new seats before I leave. Thanks!!

We have an '06 Focus, but I know the body style changed in '07, so I'm not sure how useful that makes my (limited) information.

What I can tell you is that the Radian installs wonderfully in our '06 - rear or forward facing. I don't know how it would puzzle with a MyRide, though. :shrug-shoulders:

Can I suggest one other combo? Two RF Radians and a Keyfit might work. :)

The three across thread has this for a 2007 Focus. It looks like a Radian will work RF in the center, and I think you have a good chance of making 1 Radian and 1 KF work. However that would have you bringing 3 seats with you, which you probably want to avoid, right? ;)

Yes, taking 3 seats isn't going to be possible, unless I check one and I'm NOT going to do that. (It's just me flying with the twins).

The other issue I have w/ taking the radians is that I have yet to get them to work RFing on a plane-- there'snever been enough room for me to get the recline and get the seat secure, KWIM? And I'm not sure I'm comfortable having them FFing on the flight (they are 10 months old and 13 and 14 pounds, SUPER tiny peanuts).

Unlesssssssss... someone in Alaska wants to let me borrow a Radian for a month or 2.... I'm a nice person, I promise!! ;)

But that is good to know that they install well in the focus. Thanks!
