RSTV size large?

We don't talk much about the larger size RSTVs here. A friend has a daughter who is just 50 pounds at 7 years old. A friend of hers has a large size RSTV she wanted to lend her. I was wondering if the size large fits the lower end of the weight scale better than the size small (I know traditionally the smalls fit better at 35+ pounds rather than their stated limit of 30). Anyone know? Although I have a small one for my dd, I've never seen a large in person so I have no idea how it fits. I'm hoping to have pics in a bit and will share them when I do. Thanks!

I have a small for Piper. She's not yet big enough for a large, though she'll need more length soon.

We have a large for A. He just barely fit in KQ's small when we tried it last summer due to his long torso. He was just barely 50 pounds at the time but the large has served us well. (We have the old style.) I can take pictures of him if you want or figure out how to capture from one of my friend's FB pages. We love it. He puts it in his backpack when he will be picked up by someone other than dh or myself.

Thanks. She sent me a picture of her in a chair wearing it - it looks pretty good actually. I asked her to put her in the car with the seatbelt and I'll check it out again. :)

Don't forget though that over a certain weight (I believe 60lbs... not home now) you need the dual tether when using with a lap belt only. The lap/shoulder belt is fine to use without the tether.

We used it for a while, but then sold it since my oldest moody :p DD didn't like it. We got it when she was 8 or 9 though so that probably makes a difference. My youngest uses the small daily from school to daycare and when she outgrows that I may get a large for her solely for field trips and daycare. They fit so nice in a backpack.

We just moved dd#2 (almost 7 and 48 lbs) into a size large. She still fit in the small, but it was uncomfortable for her and she likes the large better. I can try to get pics if you need them, but it will be tomorrow night or Saturday.
